Timber Sourcing, Contracting, & Harvesting
Foxwalk Land & Timber, our land and forestry company, is tasked with
responsibly acquiring timberland and logs for our sawmill. We operate
with an emphasis on selective logging and for the improved future of the
timberlands we harvest.
We primarily purchase Eastern White Pine for building timbers and
lumber. We also purchase and harvest higher grades of hardwoods
throughout the region. We are currently putting efforts into harvesting
Black Locust and invasive species that have great physical properties for
some of our building products.

Custom Sawing & Kiln Drying
Most of our harvested timber is processed at our Foxwalk Sawmill in
Menomonie, Wisconsin. Our semi-automatic Jackson Lumber Harvester
circular sawmill operation is capable of producing large timbers up to 36’
long for timber framing and post and beam construction.
We also saw hardwoods with a focus on higher grades and rift and quarter
sawn sawing patterns.
Our sawn lumber is accurately stickered for air drying before going into
the kilns. After the kiln-drying process the dried lumber goes to the planer
mill to be made into surfaced lumber or flooring and for building
projects.
The sawmill can produce over 2,000,000 board feet annually, but is
flexible enough to take on custom orders and specialty cuts.
Custom Building & Creative Timber Work
Foxwalk Log & Timber Builders is our building company. We handle every
step of the process from initial design, planning and engineering of your
project to supplying and general contracting in the Western Wisconsin
area.
Log and timber homes are often crafted in our building yard and then
shipped to the build site where we then finish the project. We build only
a few custom homes a year so we can focus on the quality of what we
build. We have experience with building designs from modern to rustic
and traditional.
We use the wood products from our sawmill and lumber operation to
produce high quality custom floors, trim and the cabinetry for your home
or building project. Other types of building projects have included
outdoor pavilions, historic bridge and building restorations, horse barns,
